My figurative works most often depict people that I know personally, though some of my subjects come from current events or, in the case of musicians, those who are well known. In every case, I paint them because I feel that they express some quality or mood that is uniquely theirs, while at the same time, they represent something that is universal to the human experience. I paint them because I am intrigued and personally touched by their stories, and I hope that you will be, too.
