This modern portrait is done in two parts, this one is entitled "He", and it depicts my daughter's boyfriend at that time. The other portrait, of my daughter, is called "She." The two portraits are meant to be a visual dialogue, a conversation. They can face each other in a shared, mutual exchange. Or--if things are going badly for them--the two portraits can face away from each other, to show the ebb and flow of relationships.
