This modern portrait is done in two parts, this one is entitled "She", and it depicts my daughter. The other portrait is called "He", and it depicts her boyfriend at that time. The two portraits are meant to be a visual dialogue, a conversation. They can face each other in a shared, mutual exchange. Or--if things are going badly for them--the two portraits can face away from each other, to show the ebb and flow of relationships.
