This portrait of Ravi Coltrane, son of the great jazz legend, John Coltrane, is done in cool turquoise, teal, blue and purple, which is balanced by warm notes of jewel-toned magenta and mahogany. These pieces were pained in inks, acrylic and watercolor and then cut into a collage and overpainted in oil to create a bold and dynamic portrait of the man and his music.
