This abstract watercolor painting was awarded "Special Recognition" in the 11th Annual "Abstracts" competition for 2020. It was created on Arches watercolor paper, using Sennelier watercolors and some oils, inspired by the Josh Groban song, "You Raise Me Up", which has touched people across the globe. I offer this painting to everyone who has done their best to handle the unremitting pain that life challenges us with--in as many forms as there are individuals--only to find that our strength, our resources, our efforts are as ineffective as a life raft in the midst of a tsunami. But our challenges, our weaknesses are as nothing compared to the overwhelming love of God that heals every wound, uplifts and sustains us and transcends every circumstance, if only we will turn to Him. He so respects our freedom that He waits for us to invite Him into our lives.
