My daughter was kind enough to sit in the yard so that I could paint her, with the open Word in her lap. I created this painting out of pieces painted in watercolor, acrylic, and inks. The pieces were then cut to create the image, which was enhanced with oils to create a vibrant, dynamic expression of how the Word can transform us. The words from the Gospel of John: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God," have been painted right onto the surface.
