As an artist, I'm interested in the language of abstraction, so I often use layers of collage and paint to express different layers of experience. I like to work in various media, so I might create a collage of watercolor pieces, which I then overpaint in oil or cold wax. Sometimes I create a collage of other items, like greeting cards or fragments of letters or pastel pieces.
