Jesus performed many miracles of healing in the Bible, as a sign to the people of His time that He is not just a teacher, not just a man like other men. His miracles show that He is Lord over life and death, over all Creation, over time itself. He is who He said He is: the Son of God. In our own time and for the same reason, He continues to work miracles, to prove that He is alive and present in every age, to heal those who believe and trust in Him as Lord and Savior. I have used gold leaf to express His divine, healing power.
